I finally gave in to the ways of the world and recognized that the reason I haven’t posted anything since July was because I didn’t have a WordPress blog. At least that’s what I tell myself.
Give me a few days to get the old content loaded and the old domain redirected and maybe I’ll come up with something worth writing.
Head on down to the ‘ville tonight for a rock show at PJ’s Pub. I just got word that I’ll be opening for Mike McClure there, so you’d better bring your ears, man.
This is a demonstration of a good use for a notebook computer after it’s been run over by a 3/4 ton Dodge Ram. It wasn’t working so well after that incident, so I enlisted Wayne to come up with a good, alternate use.
So everyone should know Aaron is pretty much a loser, since he hasn’t written a blog in over a month! So I guess I will just fill you in on all the happening of The Aaron Traffas. On July 3rd we headed to McPherson to play a private party…it was great fun. I was splendid to see Dr. G again! We miss him on a daily basis :) In McPherson Aaron was actually asked to play the Republican twice in one night. I guess there is a first time for everything…I think that might also be the last time that happens..at least in Kansas. This past weekend Aaron had a couple of shows in Northwest Kansas…God’s Country. Both shows were song swaps with Lucas Maddy. The shows went very well and I think I can convince him to go back to the northwest part of the state…yeah right. The finally Aaron had an acoustic set at PJs here in Manhattan. It was also a great show, there were some very good other bands there. Okay so the most exciting event for this week in the life of Aaron Traffas is that his sister Megan is now engaged to Andrew Piester. Congratulations! Until Aaron decides to stop being a lazy bastard this is all you get for now. :) Diane
Sitting in a hotel soutwest of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Getting ready for a multi-par farm auction. Chopping up a farm into five pieces. House, chicken farms, hay land, road frontage, and hunting land parcels for sale tomorrow. Bid price plus 10%. The seller wanted the most money and chose the auction method of marketing.
I’m not a red beer fan. For some reason today, I had a desire for it.
Check out the new longhornssaloon.com website. It’s finally coming around.
I got mugged last night when I went there for the open mic. All I wanted was to go in and have a good time. I had a bunch of people come up and ask me to play. It got so bad that one guy threatened to ask me to come up after he played so we left and went to the Kat House. I’m becoming more and more fond of that place, what I can remember of it. It seems we always have such a fantastic time there that I’m not quite sure what it looks like.
Look out for the big band at Bobby T’s this Friday.
For those of you who want to break the encryption on your new HD-DVDs, here’s the key:
How many parties actually have a tobacco tent? I told them I gave up tobacco for lent and was having trouble getting back off the wagon. They gave me half a log.
We played in Aggieville at Pat’s for Aggie Fest on Saturday. I put that in there for the search engines, not necessarily because very many people came out or even cared. MMC is putting some cool things together, though, as over 100 bands played in Manhattan this last weekend. They’re finally pulling together and building the live music scene in Manhattan.
We’re going to hit Bobby T’s in Manhattan on Friday and have a private party in McPherson, Kansas, for the diesel mechanic graduates from Salina on Saturday.
My girlfriend, my sister, my trailer and cargo. Wow. Life is good.
